Tempus Among Nominees for Chicago Inno’s Coolest Companies Award

Chicago, IL – July, 2018. Chicago Inno is gearing up for its 4th annual Coolest Companies Competition that is taking place on August 22, 2018. The list of nominees comprises local startups and businesses that are characterized to have the best company culture. Featured on the tally of nominees is Tempus Labs, Inc., one of Chicago’s top ten technology firms that has been advancing cancer care through big data and analytics since 2015. Founded by Eric Lefkofsky, Tempus is one of few of the Chicago-based enterprises that has earned the title of unicorn for its valuation that surpassed $1 billion.

 

Chicago Inno has asked innovators to participate by contributing their opinions about why they think their business, including its perks, is the best and should be one of the ten winners that will be announced “Superlative Style” based on the characteristics that the nominators have sent in. A total of ten of the coolest companies will be announced on August 22nd, whereby five will be chosen from Readers’ Choice votes and five will be picked by the Chicago Inno team based on the superlatives categories.

 

Last year’s categories included superlatives such as best perks, best office, best social media presence (based on the number of times it was re-Tweeted), most giving and best wellness initiatives and programs.

Lefkofsky is a Trustee of the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Science and Industry and World Business Chicago. He also serves as the Board of Trustees’ Chairman of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company.
