According to Dr. David Samadi, President Donald John Trump’s annual physical exam shows that he is in superior health, especially for a 72-year-old man. Rear Admiral Ronny L. Jackson, the White House physician, recently stated that President Trump’s mind is also in excellent condition. The doctor said that President Trump does not appear to have any cognitive problems. For Donald Trump, the medical report surely provides solace as he continues to tackle difficult agendas in his office as the President of the United States. Another benefit resulting from the good news is that Americans do not need to worry about Trump’s physical or mental health.
President Trump requested to undergo a cognitive test because of the constant criticisms voiced by Democrats who have questioned his cognitive abilities. He is the first acting president who has ever requested a similar type of test from a doctor. Dr. Jackson, the chief White House physician since 2013, did not think President Trump needed a cognitive test. In Dr. Jackson’s opinion, President Trump has impressed people with his sharp intellect and spirited words.
In spite of Dr. Jackson’s convictions, the cognitive test was administered to Trump. The doctor chose to give President Trump the Montreal Cognitive Assessment exam, a 10-minute cognitive test formulated to discover any mild cognitive issues typically observed in older seniors. A person taking the test needs to name different animals, draw a clock displaying the two hands depicting a specific time, copy a drawing of a cube and remember a short list consisting of several words. President Trump scored a perfect score of 30 correct answers out of 30 possible responses.
Details related to President Trump’s physical exam were also made public. His exam demonstrated the fact that President Trump is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 239 pounds. His body mass index (BMI) is 29.9 indicating that he could afford to lose weight. A body mass index of 30 would have classified the president as being overweight. Accordingly, Dr. Jackson advised the president to lose 10 to 15 pounds. President Trump loves to eat hamburgers and ice cream. According to Dr. David Samadi, the president can accomplish his weight loss goal by simply choosing to eat a healthier diet consisting of more fresh fruits and vegetables along with fiber-rich foods including lentils and black beans.
In addition to eating more nutritious meals, Dr. Jackson advised the president to establish an exercise regime. President Trump’s physical health can benefit from going for brisk walks on the White House grounds and walking on golf courses while playing golf. Dr. David Samadi also acknowledges the fact that exercise is an important part of maintaining optimum health.
Other aspects of the physical exam indicate that President Trump’s general health is in excellent shape, despite the views of his critics. His resting heart rate measured 68 with his blood pressure measuring 122/74. In fact, his blood pressure test results are superior because they fall well below the new guidelines established by the American Heart Association.

President Trump’s blood lipid profile is excellent. His HDL, LDL and triglyceride test results are within normal ranges. The president does take the statin drug called Crestor to lower his cholesterol. Plus, the president takes baby aspirins as preventatives against potential heart attacks. The only other prescribed medications used by the president include antibiotics for his rosacea skin condition and Propecia for his baldness. President Trump’s liver, colon, thyroid gland and heart tests revealed normal results.
In general, the medical conclusion is that President Trump is evidently doing the right things for a person his age to obtain these types of excellent results. Dr. David Samadi believes that President Trump’s positive report is due to superior genes and a lifelong avoidance of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages.
Dr. David Samadi also thinks that President Trump’s excellent health has a simple explanation. Perhaps the president is healthy because he loves life and participates in enjoyable activities. Although Trump’s job is difficult, he appears to have a knack for his position as the President of the United States. Perchance the main secret of President Trump’s outstanding state of health is due to his exuberance for life. The president seems to have a youthful attitude that keeps his body and mind healthy. Even though President Trump does need to improve his diet and establish a regular exercise program, it looks as though he can look forward to living a long, healthy and fulfilling life.
