Nuclear bombs are different, and they are created using different methods. At the moment, there are four designs, and each comes with its own destructive power and precision. Some bombs are good for small objects while others are good for bigger objects. At the same time, the biggest of all nuclear bombs is known as city buster. Norwegian Seismic Array said that shock waves are insufficient to determine whether the explosion from North Korea was caused by a true hydrogen bomb. At the same time, the group added that credibility of the test should be considered serious if the levels of explosion increases. Another way that can be used to solve the riddle surrounding the test is radioactivity leaks from the test area. Nuclear experts around the world say that the latest test by North Korea is four to 16 times bigger compared to the previous explosions. The previous explosion is estimated to have been equivalent to the one of the Hiroshima bomb.

As North Korea continues to become a nuclear heavy weight, it’s important to understand the production of a nuclear weapon. The basic nuclear weapon is called an atomic bomb and it’s the one that North Korean began with. This bomb acquires its energy from chain reactions which result from the splitting of atoms of heavy compounds. Commonly used fuels for these bombs include plutonium and uranium. These are metals that are heavier than lead. They are even more expensive compared to gold. Since these metals contain hidden energy levels in them, they can be freed by the process of fusing two light atoms. In this case, nuclear experts use tritium and deuterium as fuel. These are isotopes of hydrogen which are cheap but very rare. For starters, these two products are known as thermonuclear fuels. A test conducted in 1951 by the United States resulted in an atomic bomb that was three times bigger than the one on Hiroshima. The importance of this case study is to drive to what North Korea is currently doing. The country is in the second phase of designing an atomic bomb. David Albright says that this method has also been tried out in Russia. Their bomb was 25 powerful than the one of Hiroshima.
